Welcome to our Fandom Q & A series, where real fans share their football stories. Today’s spotlight is on a fan who moved from the Pacific Northwest to DFW but still reps their hometown team with pride. Let’s jump into his answers.
🎙️

1. What NFL team do you cheer for?
Seahawks, all day. I’ll admit I used to like the Patriots too — because of one particular quarterback. That’s all I’m gonna say. If you know, you know.
2. How did you become a fan of that team?
I grew up in the Puget Sound, but I was a late bloomer when it came to football. My stepdad used to explain the rules to me because I didn’t understand anything at first. Once it finally clicked, I was hooked for life.
3. Who is your favorite player (past or present)?
Right now, Joe Burrow. Yeah, yeah — I know. But I’ve got a connection: I’m an LA veteran, and I’ve always liked LSU. If you still don’t get it… oh well. 🤪
4. What is your favorite football memory?
Steve Young finally won the Super Bowl against the Chargers. I was hyped for him — and even more hyped because he beat my most‑hated team to get there. That “monkey off his back” moment was legendary—number 8, baby.
5. What team is your biggest rival?
Right now, it’s the Niners and the Rams. All three of us are in the same division, always battling for playoff spots. And yes — I’m still proud the Seahawks handled business on the way to the Super Bowl and took home the win. Go Hawks.

6. What’s one NFL opinion you always stand by?
I honestly think some refs are biased in certain games. There have been so many critical moments where bad calls changed the outcome. The biggest example for me is that clear pass interference in the Rams vs. Saints game — Saints should’ve won, period. It happened right at the end, and the refs just swallowed the whistle. They need to be held more accountable for mistakes like that.
7. What player do you enjoy watching the most right now?
Joe Burrow, for sure — he’s my guy. I love watching him play. But I also want to give a shoutout to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He’s arguably one of the best young receivers right now, and he’s only getting better.
8. What’s one thing you wish your team would improve?
Defense and the running game — both took a hit. Our Super Bowl MVP moved on to my second‑most‑hated team, and the defense hasn’t looked the same since that SB season. We need that toughness back.
9. What do you love most about being a football fan?
It’s an institution. At work, everyone talks about the Sunday games, especially when your team is on national TV. The energy hits different — you feel part of something bigger.
10. What message would you share with other fans?
Be a humble fan — and learn your team’s history. Don’t be that fan, male or female, who only watches football because of the tight uniforms. Hehehe… you know who you are.
Bonus Question
11. What is the most money you’ve ever spent on football gear?
Maybe $50 or less — the jacket I’m wearing in the picture. That’s probably the most I’ll ever spend. I don’t even own an official NFL jersey. Even if I had the money, I wouldn’t buy one. My extra cash is important. I’ve got bills!
📷That’s really me in the photo — the background is AI, but it’s probably the closest I’ll get to standing inside Lumen Field and watching a Seahawks game in person. I just don’t have the money for that right now. Maybe someday, when life lines up, and I can afford it, I’ll finally get to experience it for real.
